What the generator does
Choose a browser and platform and the tool builds User-Agent strings in the format current versions of those browsers send. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent to us.
Using User-Agents responsibly with proxies
A User-Agent should match the rest of the request. A mobile User-Agent on a datacenter IP, or a Windows Chrome string with headers only Safari sends, is easy for sites to spot. Pair mobile User-Agents with mobile or residential exits, keep one User-Agent for the length of a sticky session, and send the other headers that browser normally sends.
Changing your User-Agent doesn't give you permission to ignore a site's terms or robots.txt. Keep request rates reasonable and only collect public data.
Questions
Should I rotate the User-Agent on every request?
Usually not. Real visitors keep one browser for a whole visit, so keep one User-Agent per session and change it when the session or IP changes.
