What are mobile proxies?
A mobile proxy routes your traffic through an IP address assigned by a mobile carrier, the same kind of address a phone gets on a 4G or 5G network. Carriers typically put many subscribers behind a small set of shared addresses, so blocking one carrier IP risks blocking a large number of real customers. That is why platforms are reluctant to block mobile traffic and why mobile proxies sit at the top of the trust ladder.
BuyProxy's mobile product gives you real carrier IPs billed per GB, with country targeting across 100+ countries. There are no phones to rent or SIMs to manage: you top up bandwidth, generate a line and connect.
That trust comes at a higher price per GB than residential, so mobile proxies make sense when a platform is mobile-first, when cheaper types have already been blocked, or when a ban would cost more than the proxy bill.
Why carrier IPs are hard to block
Mobile carriers have far more subscribers than public IPv4 addresses, so they place many devices behind a small set of shared addresses. A site that blocks one carrier IP therefore risks blocking a large number of legitimate customers on that network at once. That is the practical reason platforms are cautious about blocking mobile traffic, and why mobile proxies sit at the top of the trust ladder.
The flip side is that the pool is shaped by carriers rather than by you. You choose a country and you accept the addresses the network provides. If you need a specific carrier, dedicated mobile proxies let you pick it.
Mobile versus residential for mobile-first platforms
Residential IPs come from home broadband, mobile IPs from carrier networks. For a service that expects its users on phones, a carrier IP matches what it normally sees. For ordinary websites, residential usually works at a fraction of the per-GB price.
A useful rule is three questions: is the target mobile-first or app-based, has a cheaper type already been blocked there, and would a ban cost more than the price difference? Two yeses usually justify testing mobile. Our mobile proxies guide expands on each.
Staying within platform rules
Mobile proxies are a technical tool, not a licence to break a platform's rules. Many platforms prohibit automation, fake accounts and spam, and using trusted IPs to evade those rules can get accounts banned and breaches our acceptable use policy. Use mobile proxies for legitimate work such as QA, verification and research, within each service's terms.
If you manage multiple accounts for clients, make sure you have the right to do so and follow the platform's policies.
Planning bandwidth on a premium per-GB product
Because mobile is the priciest per GB, bandwidth discipline pays off more than on any other type. Avoid loading images, video and large scripts when you only need text, test on a small top-up first, and measure the data a typical task uses before you scale.
Mobile keeps its own balance, separate from your plan GB, so you only spend it where it is needed.
Mobile Proxies features
Real carrier IPs
Addresses assigned by mobile networks, not hosting providers, so your traffic is treated like a phone on a carrier connection.
Country targeting in 100+ countries
Choose from 100+ countries in your dashboard. For a specific carrier (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and others) rent a dedicated mobile IP, where you pick the carrier and rotation.
Pay per GB, no device rental
No phones, SIM cards or monthly device fees. You pay only for bandwidth that moves.
Highest trust level
The type platforms are least willing to block, which suits mobile-first services.
Choose HTTP or SOCKS5
Select the protocol when you generate a line.
Separate balance
Mobile keeps its own GB balance so you spend the expensive bandwidth only where it is needed.
API, SDK and CLI
Top up and generate lines with productKey mobile.
Credits never expire
Buy a small amount, test, and keep the remainder.
Mobile Proxies pricing
Pay per GB with no per-IP fees. Credits never expire, and top-ups of 100 GB or more add a 10% bonus. Prices below are read live from our rate card.

What people use mobile proxies for
Mobile-first platform testing
Check how a service behaves for a mobile-carrier visitor, within the platform's terms.
Mobile app and mobile web QA
Verify localized app and mobile-site behaviour from inside a country's carrier networks.
Carrier-specific content checks
Test pages and offers that vary by carrier.
Escalation from residential
Move a target to mobile after cheaper types keep getting flagged.
Read the guideGeo-specific verification
Confirm what a user on a local carrier sees in a given country.
Is mobile proxies the right choice?
A good fit when
- Mobile-first platforms and mobile-app testing
- Targets that have already blocked residential and datacenter IPs
- Work where a ban or failed test costs more than the proxy bill
Not the best fit when
- Bulk scraping of ordinary sites, where residential is far cheaper per GB
- Bandwidth-heavy jobs such as video, where per-GB cost adds up
- Anything against a platform's terms or our acceptable use policy

What are mobile proxies?
Mobile proxies route traffic through IP addresses assigned by mobile carriers on 4G or 5G networks. Because many subscribers share carrier addresses, platforms are reluctant to block them, which makes mobile the highest-trust proxy type.
How much do mobile proxies cost?
Mobile is billed per GB at the live rate on this page, with a $5 minimum top-up and no device rental. It costs more per GB than residential because of the trust level.
What is the difference between mobile and residential proxies?
Residential proxies use IPs from home broadband connections, mobile proxies use IPs from carrier networks. Mobile IPs are shared among many users and are harder to block, but cost more. Our mobile proxies guide compares them in detail.
Are mobile proxies worth the extra cost?
Ask three questions: is the target mobile-first or app-based, has a cheaper type already been blocked there, and would a ban cost more than the price difference? Two yeses usually justify testing mobile.
Can I choose the carrier?
Per-GB mobile proxies target by country. To choose the carrier (for example AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile in the US) rent a dedicated or shared mobile IP, where carrier and rotation are part of the order.
Do I rent a physical device or SIM?
No. You buy bandwidth per GB and connect through a generated line. There is no hardware to manage.
Is 5G faster than 4G?
Generally 5G networks offer higher speeds and lower latency than 4G, but the speed you see depends on the carrier, location and route. Benchmark your own workload.
Do mobile proxy credits expire?
No. Bandwidth you buy pay-as-you-go never expires.
Is there a free trial?
BuyProxy doesn't run a free-trial period. What it does have is a low barrier to testing: pay-as-you-go top-ups start at $5, credits never expire, and new accounts that sign up with a major email provider get a one-time 100MB bandwidth bonus. That is enough to benchmark the network against your own targets before you spend real money.
How can I pay?
Pay-as-you-go top-ups can be paid by card (through Stripe) or with crypto (through NOWPayments). Monthly and yearly plans are card-only. Top-ups of 100 GB or more add a 10% bonus.
Is it legal to use these proxies?
Using a proxy is legal in most places, but what you do through it still has to comply with the law, the target site's terms and BuyProxy's acceptable use policy. This is general information, not legal advice. Our guide to whether residential proxies are legal covers the practical points.
